Week 1: Tuesday May 28th to Friday May 31st 8:00am- 12:00pm

Middle School Students will take trips to local businesses, and go on adventures together as they learn about careers in our community.  Mr. Platt and Ms. Temple will be your tour guides. 

Day 1: On Site at RVMS.  Day 2: Field Trip  Day 3: Field Trip  Day 4: Field Trip

Week 2: Washburn Tech Camp: Monday June 3rd to Thursday June 6th  9:00-4:00pm

Students will choose up to 5 programs to attend for the week. Programs include Auto Service Tech, Collision Repair, Culinary, Diesel Technology, Electrical, Information Systems Technology (IT Computer Stuff), Plumbing, Surgical Technology, and Welding. 


Week 3: Monday June 10th to Thursday June 13th. 8:00am-12:00pm

This is our second week of career based exploration through field trips. These trips are different from week one, and will be full of exciting adventures. Mr. Platt and Ms. Temple will be your tour guides.

FAQ’s. 

  1. Is transportation Included:  Yes, We will pick up students for all 3 weeks if needed. Noon Transportation home is provided on week 1 and week 3.  During the Washburn Tech summer camp we will pick students up from home, or RVMS and then RV will return them back to RVMS at 4:30pm.  Parents will need to pick up their campers at 4:30pm on week 2 from RVMS. 

  2. What is the cost? This is free, The school is also picking up the $75.00 registration for the Washburn Tech Camp. 

  3. Can we attend week to week?  We would prefer students to attend all 3 weeks, but yes we can accommodate a different schedule. 

  4. How many spots are available? We have only 15 spots available, so sign up asap. 

  5. Is Food Provided?  Yes on Weeks 1 and 3. Washburn Tech requires students to bring a sack lunch on Week 2.  Breakfast is served everyday from 8am-8:30am at RV.
