Sydney at second base

It took 10 innings for the Lady Panthers to score enough runs to win, but they beat the Tigers in walk-off fashion Thursday night in Game 1. For most of the game, the score was 1-1. RV had several chances to score the go-ahead run, but strike outs and ground outs were all they could manage. Madison Blackwood pitched 10 innings, facing 39 batters, only allowing 8 hits and had 11 strike outs with 3 of those looking. Finally in the bottom of the 10th inning, Devon Rodewald walked, Athena Broaddus singled and Sydney Moss hit a sacrifice bunt to move them to 3rd and 2nd. Callie Coleman then got on base to load them for Tyjha Henderson. Tyjha hit a single to left scoring Devon and the Panthers won 2-1.

In Game 2, the Panthers did most of their scoring in the 6th inning. The team had 9 hits and 5 RBIs total. Madison had 2 of the 5 RBIs. Madison, Devon, and Stormy Lake led the team with 2 hits each. RV completed the sweep of Jeff West by beating them 5-1.

The JV played hard but lost to the Tigers  7-9 and 2-14.
