A few FCCLA members went to the State Leadership Conference from April 7th through the 9th. Jeeps Matya competed at state and won a Gold, but unfortunately did not qualify for National in Seattle, Washington. Vivian Reynold had also retired her position, as the State Vice President of Membership, to another for next year.

"I'm not joking right now when I say that it was the most incredible experience of my life. It literally changed my life. It taught me to be a huge leader and I'm so sad that it's over," Vivian explained.

When asked what she would miss the most, she replied, "The energy because it was always so exciting, like let's go let's do this let's have fun! And then my State Officers as well," Vivian expressed.

Leah Carlisle reflected, "It was a really fun experience, and it was great to be able to see a bunch of different competitors from across Kansas and be able to improve my leadership skills. We went to multiple work shops, I was able to see the State Officers in actions, I went to the State Officer Banquet, and I was able to enjoy myself at my last FCCLA Conference!"Vivian with state officers
