NHS members

RVHS National Honor Society initiated their 11 new members last night in a candlelight ceremony. President Mackenzie Schmidt welcomed everyone and introduced the officer speakers for the evening. Aly Schuetz read a poem about attitude. Each officer lit a candle and spoke about one of the four NHS characteristics: Service, Leadership, Scholarship and character.

As each initiate's name was called, he or she signed the book, lit a candle and got the NHS pin to wear. After that, Mr. Boucher spoke about each senior member of NHS and presented each one with the gold honor cord to wear at commencement.

New initiates are Athena Broaddus, Kylie Diekhoff, Robert Griffith, Tyjha Henderson, Dakota Hittle, Alexandria Kester, Samantha Klotz, Ashlyn Long, Caliber Miller, Ainsley Morrison and Averie Stithem.

Jackson King closed with a poem.

NHS sponsor Emily Jennings invited all the guest to enjoy punch and cupcakes in the commons before pictures.

Congratulations to all the NHS members!
