In between the lightning shows, down pouring of rain and high winds, the RV track team competed at the State Track Meet in Wichita over the weekend......the entire weekend. From the first event on the all-classes schedule to the last, the Kansas State High School Activities Association Track Meet took parts of three days to complete because of so many weather challenges. That didn't stop the Panther track athletes from bringing their best and returning with medals.

Gavin Cumpton, the lone male of the Panther state qualifiers, placed 5th in the 110 high hurdles, earning a medal.

Morgan Harvey also placed 5th in the triple jump earning a medal.

The girls 4X100M relay, consisting of Kenzie Hegemann, Kenzie Ogden, Morgan Harvey and  Mary Broxterman, placed 8th.

Hegemann also placed 11th in the pole vault and 13 in the 400M Dash. Ogden finished 10th in the 300M hurdles. Ivy Fink placed 13th in the high jump, and Broxterman finished 16th in the 200M Dash.

As a team, the girls tied for 33rd. Gavin's medal was enough to have the boys "team" tie for 39th. Congratulations, Panthers!
