The development of Royal Valley has progress over the years. The building on the outside has changed and majority of the inside has changed as well. Also the social environment as changed. For example teachers used to smoke with the students on the property during lunch break. For legal reasons, that doesn't happen now. It's crazy to think about how teacher and student relationships have changed.

Richard Kern, RVHS graduate and current math teacher, reflected over the changing within the school. "There has been more technology development. No more chalk boards. I used to be upstairs in Mrs. Colley's room (His room is now in the basement). They have redone the art room, made a new gym and library and the major development is the dirt track coming into a new track."

Keith Pelton added, "The place is better maintained than it's ever been. I used to share a room with two other teachers which was JAG and the other health teacher at the time."
