Holiday food fest

Students in Mrs. DelToro’s Hands-On Geography class have been learning about the seven continents of the world. To wrap up the unit, students participated in a special activity that celebrated culture and family traditions. Each student brought a food item that represented something meaningful to their family—whether it was a favorite snack, a holiday dish, homemade cookies, or a festive drink or candy.

The classroom turned into a smorgasbord of fun and festive holiday foods, including hot cocoa, fruit punch with sherbet, buttered chicken, homemade salsa and chips, fry bread, chicken fried rice, tamales, and a wide variety of sweet treats!

A big thank-you to the parents who helped make this memorable experience possible by sharing their family’s holiday food favorites.

Happy Holidays!
