Recently, Bob Bell visited Mrs. Swank’s Environmental Science class to share his knowledge and experience about trapping in the local area. He discussed the best types of traps to use, how to identify animal tracks, and where to set traps effectively.
Mr. Bell also explained how to properly prepare animal hides and where they are typically shipped for processing. To wrap up his presentation, he shared information about educational opportunities such as trapping workshops and meets, as well as the current market prices for various finished fur pelts.
The students enjoyed learning about the practical side of wildlife management and gained valuable insight into local trapping practices.
