Members of the Kansas Department of Transportation visited the 4th grade today. The presenters included engineers and road workers who talked to the students about roads and bridges and how they are built.
Then the students went outside and looked at the equipment in the parking lot that road workers from Holton brought. The students got to be inside of the equipment and got to see what it is about.
After that the kids got to build bridges using gumdrops and toothpicks using the instructions from KDOT.
