Students in horticulture class learned about cutting and stripping flower stems using sunflowers (on Kansas Day!) and other flowers for floral arrangements. Student teacher Ms. Ascher taught the lesson.


When Mr. Green walked into culinary essentials & saw students cutting up chicken, he decreed scissors to be better than knives. A "cutoff" followed & some students decided he was correct! Do you prefer knives or scissors when cutting up chicken?

RV FFA members met with RVES students Thursday about Farm Bureau Poster Contest & farm safety. Poster contest deadline is Feb. 9. Theme is ‘Farm Safety is for Everyone.’ The chapter awards 3 winners per grade level. County & state will recognize top winners from across the region





RVHS students had a "try day" today at lunch. Food service director Lindsey Bailey brought 4 new items for students to try. After eating the samples, students voted on what they liked or didn't. The items were cranraisins, dumplings, jalepeno honey cornbread and spicy chicken.




FFA members gathered for a meeting today during seminar in their new Ag classroom. Officers cut the ribbon and welcomed everyone to their new home before the start of the meeting!
