Today, Ms. Baxter’s students put their engineering skills to the test by building boats designed to hold the MOST weight before sinking! Using only one piece of tin foil, four popsicle sticks, and four pieces of tape, students created some seriously creative designs. Once completed, the boats were placed in water and loaded with pennies one at a time until… SPLASH!
1st Place: The winning boat belonged to Ashlyn R. and MacKenzie B., holding an impressive 199 pennies before sinking!
2nd Place: went to Elsie M. and Zoey W. with 82 pennies.
3rd Place: Connor L. and Braden B. earned third place with 81 pennies.
