On Monday, May 11th, RVES held its annual STEM Day! Students and staff had a great day filled with engaging and educational STEM activities.
Each grade level completed a special STEM activity in their classrooms:
Kindergarten — Constructed kaleidoscopes
1st Grade — Egg Drop Parachutes
2nd Grade — Barge Building
3rd Grade — Grew grass “hair” for characters
4th Grade — Built and launched rockets
In addition, during specials time, students had the opportunity to participate in a variety of STEM stations, including:
Magnet fishing
Coding obstacles
Balloon rocket races
Cup stacking
Spaghetti and marshmallow towers
Animal matching
Tornado water bottles
Building pinwheels
Reaction time activities
Estimation challenges
A huge thank you to the teachers and high school students who helped plan, organize, and run this educational event for our students!
