yeah

Students in Mrs. Swank's Zoology and Environmental Science classes recently took their learning beyond the classroom with a trip to the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium! After finishing research projects on animals of their choice, students had the opportunity to explore the zoo and see a wide variety of species up close. The visit offered a better experience, allowing students to observe animals they wouldn't normally see at the Topeka Zoo.

For many, the highlight was seeing their chosen animal in real life.

Junior Avery Jones shared, "My favorite animal is a penguin, and we don't have them at the Topeka Zoo, so seeing them was so cool."

The trip gave students a fun and memorable way to connect their research with real word experiences!
