The annual RVHS FFA Awards Night was held on Sunday, April 19th, celebrating the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of our FFA members. This special event, held each spring, recognizes students for their achievements throughout the year. The 2025–2026 officer team spent the past month planning and organizing the evening to ensure it was a memorable experience for everyone involved.
The purpose of the Honorary Chapter FFA degree is to recognize individuals who have rendered outstanding service to Agriculture Education and FFA. This year, the FFA chapter chose Mrs. Ashley Wick.
Jace Johnson applied and received the Kansas SAE Grant to assist him with his SAE (Supervised Agriculture Experience).
The Farm Bureau acknowledged our seniors who have been in FFA for at least three years. These seniors are:
Abigail Milroy
Addilyn Lefferd
Cyrus Harding
Darren Bausch
Griffin Cumpton
Jacob Bernasek
John Young
Mason Pahmahmie
Nolan Bausch
Peyton Thomes
Shawn McGinty
Taylor Bienhoff
Tylie Bienhoff and Lauryn Caviness attended the Next Gen- Power, Structure, and Technical systems conference. They were awards with a certificate of completion.
We had four members complete and submit a #SpeakAg video. The goal is to create a short digital promotion showcasing agriculture in your state. This event was submitted and judged virtually. The team members for this included Adam Kahle, who was behind writing the script, taking video, and editing the entire video, Lauryn Caviness, who served as the news anchor in the video, and Darren Bausch, Addilyn Lefferd, and Jace Johnson who all spoke about agriculture and more specifically their SAE's.
Throughout the night, numerous awards and recognitions were presented. First-year members received their Greenhand Degrees, while second-year members earned their Chapter Degrees. Addilyn Lefferd, Darren Bausch, and Jacob Bernasek were honored with their State Degree Chains—an impressive accomplishment that reflects their commitment to FFA.
Darren Bausch shared, “I put in so much time into filling out my state degree application, and I felt very accomplished when I found out I received it.”
In addition, Addilyn Lefferd, Darren Bausch, Dakota Hittle, and Jacob Bernasek will have their proficiency applications advancing to the state level. Best of luck to these students as they continue to represent RVHS!
Scholarships were also awarded during the evening. The FFA Ag Backers presented scholarships to Darren Bausch and Taylor Bienhoff, while Darren Bausch was also the recipient of the Mark Harter Scholarship. These honors were awarded based on a competitive application process.
The evening concluded with the installation of the 2026–2027 officer team, led by the outgoing 2025–2026 officers. Congratulations to next year’s leaders:
