FCCLA

Royal Valley FCCLA attended the State Leadership Conference from April 12-14th. We had 8 members attend.  They received training for office and participated in STAR Events.

On April 13th, 2026, we had 4 FCCLA members present their STAR Events in Wichita at the State Leadership Conference. We all had a fun time creating and presenting our STAR Events. There are members listed below along with the STAR Event they presented.

Kiley Rogers - The New Dietary Guidelines for Americans; Professional Presentation Level 3: Her project included all 3 culinary classes making breakfast burritos.  She received a gold medal, 2nd place at state and will be representing us at Nationals in Washington DC.

Hanna Myers - Military Dentist; Career Investigation Level 2: Her project included job shadowing a dentist and researching the career.  She received a gold medal, placed 3rd in the state and will be representing us at Nationals in Washington DC.

Payton Hollar-Hicks - Building Connections; National Programs in Action Level 3: Her project was about making activities with her Lifespan Development class to connect with the senior citizens at their holiday luncheon in November.  She received a gold medal, and was 4th in the state.

Ella Rawlings - Hands of Hope; National Programs in Action Level 2: Her project included educating about food insecurity and making 660 servings of chicken fried rice that was distributed to our community thanks to a grant from Pete’s Garden. This was completed in the Intro to FCS classes. She received a gold medal and placed 4th in the state.
