FFA

April is a busy and exciting month for our FFA members, with several events showcasing student learning and leadership!

Super CDE Day – April 8th
Students will compete in a variety of Career Development Events, including Food Science, Floriculture, Milk Quality & Products, and Veterinary Science - offering a wide range of opportunities to demonstrate their skills and knowledge.

Livestock Judging – April 15th
Participants will evaluate livestock conformation by judging heifers, steers, pigs, goats, and sheep. Students will also present oral reasons to explain their placements, highlighting their understanding and decision-making skills.

Elementary Ag Day – April 16th
This hands-on event gives elementary students the chance to learn about agriculture in a fun and interactive way. Activities include meeting animals outside, planting in the greenhouse, and learning how butter is made, complete with a sample to enjoy back in the classroom.

Ms. Clark shared, “The main goal of Elementary Ag Day is to teach students about agriculture. Every person relies on agriculture, it provides the food we eat and the clothes we wear, so it’s important to start that education early. Students explore plant growth in the greenhouse, participate in classroom activities, and experience farm animals and equipment firsthand.”

FFA Banquet – April 19th at 4:00 PM
The FFA Banquet is a celebration of members’ achievements throughout the year. Awards will be presented, and the new officer team for the 2026–2027 school year will be announced. It’s also a great opportunity for families to see and celebrate all that students have accomplished!

Mark your calendars for the Greenhouse Sales!
