Royal Valley juniors will have the opportunity to take the ACT on Tuesday, February 24, in the school library. The test will run from approximately 8:10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The ACT usually costs around $70, but the state covers the cost for all juniors who choose to take it in February of their junior year.
Testing Tips for students taking the ACT:
Get a good nights rest!
Eat a big healthy breakfast!
Arrive to school early so that you don't feel rushed.
Be confident in yourself - you got this!
To help students prepare, Carolyn DeVane will be at Royal Valley on Tuesday, February 17, to teach a Power Prep ACT class. DeVane has been teaching ACT prep courses in the area for many years. The class requires registration and a fee to pay for the course. Students from Jackson Heights and Holton will join Royal Valley students in the library for the prep class. If students would like to take this class, please contact Mrs. Martin.
