This year, the RVHS Wrestling team has three senior wrestlers and one senior manager. Senior Night was held on February 5th and served as a special moment to recognize their dedication, celebrate their future, and honor the parents / guardians who have supported them throughout their journey!
Senior Sarah Lake - "I like wrestling because it is fun! My favorite part is throwing people around on the mat. I am thankful for my mom because she is my number one supporter."
Senior Cyrus Harding - "I enjoy the sport as a whole. All the moments on the mat I enjoy. I enjoy just being out there wrestling with another kid while I can. Wrestling is also my favorite because to be truly good you have to put in extra time and be disciplined enough to do it. I do that which is why I am so good. I also enjoy the fact that it shaped me into a better person bc it has taught me about life. My mom has always been my number one supporter."
Senior Adam Kahle - "I have enjoyed getting back into wrestling shape after my injury that I had at the beginning of the season. I popped my knee cap out of place, I couldn't wrestle for like three weeks. I have really enjoyed wrestling mainly because it makes my father proud of me."
Senior Danyelle Russell - "I would say my favorite part of managing wrestling is going to the meets and messing around with my teammates. I have really enjoyed watching the team this year because we actually have a decent sized team."
