Taylor Johnson

On Wednesday, November 19th, and Thursday, November 20th, the Jackson County Communities That Care Coalition hosted Taylor Johnson, who spoke to all 7th–12th grade students at Royal Valley, Holton, and Jackson Heights. Taylor also performed his “Strong Feelings About Being Alive” presentation for community members on Wednesday evening at the HHS Auditorium.

Taylor shared his personal story in a humorous and relatable way, helping students understand that it’s normal to face difficult and sometimes embarrassing situations. Through comedy, he encouraged students to talk openly about their struggles and find ways to laugh along the way. He also emphasized the importance of sharing stories with others, reminding students that hearing someone else’s experiences can help us navigate our own challenges.

Taylor says, "It we can laugh about it, we can talk about it, and it we can talk about it, we can deal with it."
