On Monday, November 17th, the RVHS National Honor Society members traveled to the Topeka Zoo to help prepare for the Christmas Zoo Lights display. While they were there, students strung snowflakes, decorated the Gingerbread House, created additional snowflake decorations, organized the Santa area, and helped clean up. To top off a productive day of service, Mrs. Colley treated the group to Pizza Shuttle for lunch!
Senior, Mya Snyder said, "It was fun working on things behind the scenes at the Zoo Lights and I really enjoyed getting to hang out with some of my close friends all morning."
Senior, Hunter May said, "I didn't realize how much work and time was put in to decorating the zoo for Christmas time. I am glad we were able to help some."
