On Thursday, November 13th, Mrs. Swank’s Zoology students traveled to Manhattan, Kansas, to visit the Insect Zoo at Kansas State University.
While there, students had the opportunity to see and even handle a variety of insects, while learning about the many different species found in nature. They also toured the K-State greenhouses, exploring the different plants grown in campus classes. It was a beautiful day for the students to walk around the K-State Gardens, while going on a scavenger hunt to see who could take the most selfies with all of the statues. The winner of the challenge received a large candy bar!
Additionally, students enjoyed a brief tour of the K-State campus, seeing buildings such as Waters Hall and Hale Library.
