Mr. Boucher’s Senior Business Economics class has been completing the Small Business Project for 14 semesters, with a major Market Day event included for the past seven. Students create a wide variety of products and services for the student body to enjoy, and each group donates a portion of their net profits to a charity selected by the class.
Over the years, students have raised more than $6,000 for organizations such as the American Cancer Society, United Way of Greater Topeka, Children’s Mercy, the Wounded Warrior Project, and several local causes.
This project serves as a midterm-style assessment, allowing students to apply the concepts they’ve learned in class to a real-world business experience.
Mr. Boucher shared, “The Class of 2026 really showed out with their creativity and hard work. I’m super proud of what they put together.”
The seniors enrolled in Business Economics this spring will also participate in a Market Day, and we are excited to see what they create!
