Zoology

Mrs. Swank’s Zoology classes took part in a worm and leech dissection on their second dissection of the school year. This hands-on experience gave students the chance to explore the internal anatomy of these animals and see just how complex their organs really are. It also helped keep students actively engaged, allowing them to learn by doing rather than only through visual materials. During the activity, students were tasked with identifying all the organs and understanding their functions. By dissecting both the worm and the leech, students could compare the two creatures and observe the differences in their anatomy.
