Royal Valley’s first home varsity football game and the RV Cheer & Dance Kids Clinic took place on September 12th at Panther Stadium. The Saturday before, elementary students attended a special practice where they learned cheers and a dance routine to perform under the lights.
During the second quarter, the kids joined the RVHS Cheerleaders on the sidelines to help rally Panther fans. Cheer captain Saniya Betts shared, “Doing the Kids Clinic every year is such an amazing opportunity! I love being able to teach the younger kids and give them a glimpse of how our cheer team works. Each student brings their own personality and a little bit of sass.”
At halftime, the spotlight turned to the RVHS Dance Team and their young partners, who performed a lively routine to “Hot To Go!” by Chappell Roan. Dance team member Isabella Wheeler said, “It was a lot of fun! The kids did an awesome job and were so cute—we all really enjoyed it.”
It was a night filled with school spirit, future Panther pride, and memories the kids won’t soon forget!
