On Friday, April 26, high school FFA students help the 3rd graders plant different types of vegetables in the green house.
Addilyn Lefferd shared about writing the grant for the project. "The grant was through the Hershey Hunger Prevention grant. There is more information posted about this on the Royal Valley FFA instagram account. I had to answer a lot of questions like, explaining why I was doing it and how I am going to prevent hunger in the long run, and how this will affect our community. This morning I gave a presentation to the 3rd graders over how to harvest and water plants. We chose to have them plant tomatoes, lettuce and peppers because they are easy to grow and maintain.
