Today Aubrie Russell met with the National History Day judges to review her project over Anna Coleman-Ladd. Anna created masks for injured United States troops to wear after WW I. Their injuries were so severe that they did not want to return home or be seen in public. These masks allowed them to return to the U.S. and live a normal life.
Aubrie spent about 15 minutes with three judges and answered around 10 questions.
The awards ceremony is on Thursday beginning at 8 am Eastern Time (7 am Central) and can be viewed online at this website: https://www.nhd.org/webcast
