Aubrie Russell received a 2nd place Saturday at the state level in the Junior exhibit category for National History Day. She will now move on to the National History Day Competition in June in Washington, DC.
Aubrie explained the ups and downs of her project. "My project was about Anna Coleman Ladd. She made masks for the disfigured WWI soldiers. I'm looking forward to being able to go to Washington D.C. When I won, I felt very relieved and proud of myself for winning. Overall my project was a little hard, but it was really fun! It took about 2-3 months to make."
