Students going into Kindergarten, 1st, 7th and 11th grade have new immunization requirements for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment published new guidelines which can be found: http://www.kdheks.gov/immunize/schoolInfo.htm.
*Kindergarten students will still need their second dose of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella); Varicella (chickenpox); 4th dose of IPV (polio) and 5th dose of DTaP/DT (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis) vaccines. New requirement this year is 2 doses of Hepatitis A vaccine for kindergarten enrollment.
* 1st grade students now need to have 2 doses of Hepatitis A vaccine if not previously vaccinated for Hepatitis A.
*Students going into 7th grade (11-12 years old) must have a booster Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) and new requirement of 1 dose of the Meningococcal vaccine.
* Students going into 11th grade/Juniors (16-18 years old) must have 1 dose of Meningococcal vaccine.
