RVMS Art Students Create Digital Portfolio
In the fall, the RVMS Art department received a grant from the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Charitable Contributions. This grant allowed the Art department to purchase 3 digital cameras and camera supplies. The art classes will use the cameras in a variety of ways, such as: digital photography assignments, capturing class activities, stop-motion animation, and digital portfolios.
Since the purchase of the cameras in the fall, the advanced art classes have been working hard on creating and updating all 5th and 6th grade students’ digital portfolios. The portfolios will hold images and information about each student’s work from when they come in as 5th graders all the way through their 8th grade year. This year’s 5th grade class will be the first group to have complete portfolios by the time they finish their 8th grade art classes.
If you would like to browse a specific student’s portfolio, please go to the certified staff page under the RVMS tab on the district website. Click on Mr. Triplett's page. From there, you can click Students' Digital Work under his picture. This link will take you to my Google Site. You can find the link to your student’s page by click the appropriate class and searching for their name.
The middle school art classes would like to extend a big thank you to the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Charitable Contributions for approving the grant that allowed us to purchase the digital cameras and supplies. Thank You!!!
