The Senior Citizen Thanksgiving meal is November 9th at 10:30 am at the Middle School. RSVP to the RVMS office at 966-2251.
MS wrestling practice starts today. The parent meeting will be Thursday, October 19 at 5:30 pm.
The Kindergarteners had a great time at the fire station learning all about Fire Safety and having fun with a few firemen. But don't take my word for it...
Grant said his favorite part was "riding in the fire truck." Bently said "I really liked the firefighters." And Emily said something she learned was, "You always use the back part of your hand for hot doors."

Friday, October 20th, RVES Character Recognition awards will be handed out in the elementary gym. Kindergarten and 1st grade are at 2:30 pm, and second, third and fourth grade are at 2:50 pm. The awards being handed out are creativity, citizenship, upstander, achievement, and perseverance.
The Haunted Hallways will take place October 28th from 6-9 pm for middle school students 5-8th and is open to all from 9-10 pm. Along with the Haunted Hallways there will be a dance from 6-9 pm. To attend the Dance only it costs $5 and to attend the dance and haunted hallways it costs $10. Don't forget the annual costume contest for students takes place during the dance. Students must be signed in and out of the dance. Public Admission for the haunted house is $6 at the door and $5 in advance. Concessions will be available.

RVHS Yearbook staff is selling burritos. Sausage, egg and cheese (breakfast) or beef and bean. You can purchase half a dozen for 12 dollars or a dozen for $20. Orders and money are due October 30th. You can purchase them from a yearbook staff or Mrs. Switzky.

The Letter Jacket Guy will be coming to Royal Valley High School on Wednesday, October 18th, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in the commons area. He will have a table set up to show the different jackets for you to see.

Congratulations to Blake Chance for earning the Senior of the Month of October. Blake has been a member of Student Council, FCA, Kay Club, and NHS. Blake currently serves as FFA President, and has been on the honor roll all 4 years of High School. Blake has been active in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. Blake attends St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Following graduation, Blake plans to attend Kansas State University where he will pursue a degree in Ag-Business. The Royal Valley student council would like to thank Blake for his continued leadership at RVHS.
