McDonald's Awards Reading

Mrs. Burdiek's 1st grade class turned in the most coupons for Happy Meals at McDonald's and won apples and caramel as a treat! To get a coupon, the kids had to set goals on how many books they think they could read. When they made that goal, they received a coupon for a Happy Meal.
They will continue to read and keep track of their reading over the summer. If they reach their goal over the summer and show Mrs. Burdiek at open house next August, they will receive another Happy Meal coupon.
"I liked the apples because they are yummy. My goal this summer is 100 books!" exclaimed first grader Nevaeh.
While enjoying their apples, the students worked on placing the correct words on the apple trees.
