YouthFriends will be starting their third year at Royal Valley this year. It is a fun, flexible, school-based mentoring program for students grades 4-8 that connect caring adult and high school role models with students. A volunteer can be anybody in the community who wants to make a difference in the life of a student. Anyone that is screened, trained, and interviewed can be a volunteer. You can fill out an application at any time during the school year.
Adult volunteers usually do the breakfast or lunch buddy program, and most high school students do the breakfast buddy option. They are challenging the community to have 100 volunteers.
