Spanish Students Present Charities
All the hard work paid off today for the Spanish IV students in Mrs. Temple's class. They presented their charity of choice to a panel of six judges to see which would get chosen to receive the $50 donation! Thanks to Denison State Bank and an anonymous donor, $50 will be sent to the winning charity, $30 to the runner up, and $20 to the two, third-place charities. The Spanish I students can also choose to donate corporate dollars as well as their own money after hearing the presentations.
Kenzie Handley and Amanda Sutton chose Water Mission as their charity. Tope Serna and Daniela Fabila chose Rainforest Alliance. Bem Hubbard and Kobe Mills chose Save the Children and Ben Neuner and Pak Hale chose Water for People.
The judges selected Water Mission as their #1 charity presentation with Water for People coming in as a close second. The remaining two charities, Save the Children and Rainforest Alliance, will each receive $20.
Thanks to the panel of judges for taking time away from work responsibilities to come judge these presentations! The judges were Liz Long, Ann Kelly, Dustin Brinkman, Susan Pfrang, Eric Finck and Rex Frazier.
