Alert System Information
By now most patrons are aware of the Royal Valley alert system used district wide to remind everyone of upcoming events or inform them of changes in the time or location. If you have signed up for this system but want to make changes, you will need to notify Barb Williamson at 986-6251 to have those changes implemented. Patrons cannot make changes on their own.
If you have not yet signed up, below are several links to click on that will ask you what lists you would like to be on (i.e. HS Football, MS Cheer, JCYC, PTO, etc.) and a form asking for your basic information like name, e-mail and cell phone provider with each link. Even though you will be signing up your name, cell, e-mail, etc. on each link, you will only be entered in the system one time as long as you use the same contact information. You still have the ability to choose if you want to receive your alerts by text or e-mail or both.
One issue that has been mentioned by many patrons who use AT&T as their cell phone provider is the delay in receiving their text alerts. This is an AT&T issue, and it is beyond the control of USD 337. Most alerts are set up days in advance and are set to go out around 8 am. This is a change from the previous times most alerts went out, which was around 3:30 pm. The reason for the change is because very often AT&T users don't receive the alerts until some time between 6 and 14 hours after they are sent! If you have any questions about this, please contact Barb Williamson at 986-6251.
Please note that if you enter a cell phone number, there can be no dashes, spaces, parentheses or periods between the numbers!! Type your number all together like the following: 7851234567. Also, pay-as-you-go phones such as Tracphone and Net 10 do not allow text messages from this alert system!
