RV Health Fair

Approximately 45 children participated in the Health Fair at RVHS on Saturday, February 27th. It was held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
There were free screenings for children which included:
Health: Jamie Stuke, ARNP, Donna Speilman, LPN
Vision: Dr. Meerpohl
Dental: Dr. Hermann
Dental Care: Jodi Shupe, Oral Health Kansas
Speech/Language: Jennifer Stous
Hearing: Jennifer Collins
An officer from the Jackson County Sheriff's office performed free infant and toddler safety seat checks.
There were several informational booths which included:
YWCA- Center for Safety and Empowerment
PBP- Family Violence Prevention Program
KANZA Mental Health Center
FCCLA Students presented Star Events
Parents as Teachers
KS Child ID Program
There were also door prizes, 2 $25 gift certificates to Calderwood's Grocery, 1 3 month membership to Interactive Fitness on 46th Street, 2 large pizzas to Pizza Plus, and McDonald's coupons.
Free bike helmets were distributed.
Participants were also able to enjoy breakfast which was biscuits and gravy between each screening visited.
