Story image 1

Beach Party

by Whitney Muller

May 14, 2008

The kindergarten had a field trip to Banner Creek last Friday, May 9. They stayed there for a half of a day, and then they came back and watched a movie.  It was cold and windy that day.  The children really didn't mind it, but the parents did. They will be finishing it up this coming up Monday here at the school.  There were about 62 children and 45 adults.

They had 6 stations that they went through.  Station 1 was on the beach.  They each received their own bucket and shovel to take home with them.  Station 2 was bubbles where they played ladder golf and had beach music.  Station 3 was where they played with kites and frisbees.  One of the kites ended up flying away up the hill and Bruce Collins chased it.  Station 4 was beach volleyball and they also played washer games.  Station 5 was yard games where they played Horseshoes. Lawn Darts, and Bocce Ball.  The last station was the play ground where they got to play with Hula Hoops.

They children had hot dogs, fruit, and chips.  The hot dogs where grilled by Mrs. Balaun and Mrs. Pfrang.  The bus drivers were Audra Garrison and Alleta Bullard.  They helped organized the food and serve the food.

Mrs. Hickman commented, "Bruce started the riot 'we want ice cream!""
