Mrs. Litherland's Career and Life Planning class has been working on a class project for two days. The students had to split up into groups of 3 and 4. After that they had to come up with a business that would be held on a boat, and they had to make a business flyer and a radio ad.
The next class period the groups were each given 10 minutes to construct their business boat with 10 straws and 25 inches of tape. After the time was up, the groups each had to give a 5-minute speech telling the other class members about their business. Then each group had to take turns floating their boat, and seeing whose boat could hold the most pennies before sinking.
The group that won was Carrie, Donna, and Logan. Their boat held 15 pennies.
"I thought that it was a really creative project, and I enjoyed floating my boat," commented Carrie Buehler.
